Decorating with art: get inspired

Art wall starts from... ? Yes, idea & color palette. Choosing the theme for your collection & making it fit your existing design is the most important and creative part of the process.

To collect your ideas create a mood board where you can keep images/items related to the idea of your collection. This also will ease your process for the best color palette pick.

...Travel, culture, photography, form & color, family, seascapes, nature, music - there are so many possible topics that you can "explain" using various items & artworks.

For example, when I create the art series it all starts from the subject matter - and in my case, it is all about architecture & cultural heritage.

The architecture associated with the specific historical period of culture contains a great amount of symbolic meaning & I try to collect as many facts as possible when researching about a particular building. After the idea is visible for me, I analyze the color patterns and thinking about better ways to visually "connect" the series' art pieces.

If you want to create a very unique art wall collection think about ordering original artworks.

  • You can complement your personal collection you've selected for the art wall: for example, you can add my artwork with your favorite city, street, or place you enjoy visiting.

  • Moreover, think about ordering the series of artworks that all together will form the idea of your art wall, and you can complement it with your personal items/photos.

If you are looking for colorful art maybe my "Portugal" series will grab your attention: it is all about colors & unique azulejos.

These unique tiles became an art form & they still remain a very important part of the country's architecture. The tile colors are combined with the beautiful doors and altogether this “union” creates a colorful & vivid atmosphere.

The color palette of this series will match perfectly with white, yellow, green, blue, brown colors in various hues.

The artworks from the “Portugal” series are available for order, please contact me here & will share with you the details.
