I recently discovered the architecture of South America, during my trip to Lima. I was impressed by the variety of architectural styles in the districts of the city and started to explore how the architecture of the capitals of other South American countries looks like, and I began with Argentina. It turned out that in Buenos Aires you can find many interesting buildings. That's how the collection that focused on the unique homes & landmarks started.
I began with the building in Art Nouveau style - the style that arrived in Buenos Aires at the beginning of the 20th century by a mix of foreign and local architects who had studied in Europe who incorporated their local touch to buildings in Buenos Aires.
In general, If we talk about the Art Nouveau style, then, perhaps, you will immediately think about Gaudi and his extraordinary buildings, the entrances to the underground stations of the Paris Métro by Hector Guimard, or maybe even the Singer House in St. Petersburg.
Here is a brief guide below with the main style's characteristics.
